Azerbaijan and EU discuss prospects for energy cooperation

A meeting was held between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and the Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Marijana Kujundzic.

 

During the meeting, the development prospects of Azerbaijan-EU cooperation in the energy sector were discussed. Azerbaijan's role as a reliable partner in Europe's energy supply, as well as its activities in the field of renewable energy, were highly appreciated. The continuation of cooperation in the Energy Dialogue format, the expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor, and the implementation of Green Energy Corridor projects, which will ensure the export of electricity from Azerbaijan to Europe, were reviewed. The meeting also addressed cooperation issues related to the EU4Energy program, decarbonization, energy efficiency, hydrogen, and other promising areas.
