Azerbaijan to attract nearly $3 billion in renewable energy over next two years
It is planned to commission 10 solar and wind power plants in Azerbaijan over the next two years, APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Finance.
According to the information, as a result of these projects, implemented with the participation of international financial organizations and with a total investment value of 2.7 billion US dollars, it is planned to increase the share of renewable energy sources in total energy production.“According to the forecast, by 2027, the share of renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan's installed energy capacity will reach 33.7 percent, in 2030 - 38 percent, and in 2035 - 42.5 percent,” the ministry notes.
