EBRD’s loan portfolio in Azerbaijan drops to €948M by end of June
As of June 30, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)’s active loan portfolio in Azerbaijan stood at €948 million, citing the bank.
This figure represents a 4.3% (€43 million) decrease compared to May 31.
According to the EBRD, 38% of the current portfolio is allocated to the private sector. The majority — 89% or €846 million — is directed toward sustainable infrastructure development. Additionally, 6% (€54 million) is invested in the corporate sector, while 5% (€48 million) supports financial institutions.
To date, the EBRD has invested over €3.66 billion across 198 projects in Azerbaijan. Its cumulative disbursements amount to €3.351 billion.
In 2024, the Bank provided €199 million in loans for the financing of eight projects in Azerbaijan — a 27.6% (€43 million) increase compared to the previous year.
